College life... STORY!

STORY!!!

~sorry my stories just aren't quite the same as they are in person ;) ~

My roommate, a.k.a. one of the cutest girls ever, got asked out today. Twice! She's one of those totally innocent college girls. She's never been kissed, is kinda clueless when it comes to boys, and just totally adorable.

So... here's how it went down. Kyler, the boy that lives next door (literally- like five feet away) totally likes her. This little crush has been going on for about a week or two now. She talks about him every night to me but nothing has happened because they're both so innocent. Kristina was all afraid that he didn't like her.... ha! Kyler really is this cute kid. He actually just recently got a job at cold stone (memories!) and so we talk about the job all the time. So Kenny, Kyler's roommate, texts me tonight and asks if Kristina is home. In his words, Kyler "wants to leave her a love note." So I informed him that she wasn't, since I was home alone (I have no social life). Not too much later, Kyler shows up at my door.

"Is Kristina home?"

"Nope."

"Okay good I have to leave her something."

Already knowing, I give a little laugh.

"Do you already know?"

"Yeah..." big smile.

Naturally, he gets embarrassed. He quickly goes next door to his place. He comes back and goes for the kitchen. A little confused, I just watch him. He opens the freezer. ummm... Kyler? haha I just kept watching him. Once he's done, he closes the freezer and just leaves. Of course I'm going to look. No doubt about it. I open the freezer, and I almost peed.

(there was cold stone ice cream included, but she ate it already- i took the picture after)

How cute is that?? There's this little talent show tomorrow night, and he wants to go with her! Date? I think so! Of course I was anxious for her to get home! When she finally got home, someone said something to her about ice cream and so she went to the freezer. She FREAKED!!!! It was THE cutest thing of my life. Needless to say, she ended up saying yes.

The best part was tonight when she came in to talk to me. Of course I'm just hanging out on my bed doing whatever nerds do. She is twitter-pated to the max! My favorite is how she just kept rambling, analyzing every detail. Then when she ran out of things to say, she would change the subject until something else regarding Kyler came to her mind.

"I just can't stop smiling"

"Do you think he heard me freaking out when I saw it? He's like right next door and the doors were open!"

"He kept smiling every time he saw me"

"Should I wear make-up tomorrow?"

"....He even typed up the note."

personal favorite: "Ah! I hope this isn't a dream. What if I wake up?" I laugh. "It kinda feels like it though."

"I'm overreacting. Where's my book? I can't even focus. I'm so glad a cleaned my room today."

What motivated this blog? I miss those days. This all made me reminiscent of the days when life seemed so simple. The days when you would be giddy all day just because the boy you were crushin on smiled at you. I miss coming home being so slap happy about a silly boy. Moral to the story: there is hope. Not that I didn't think there was. But there are innocent people out there, who still get excited about little things like that. There are girls who live for the cute things like that. Perhaps most importantly- there are boys out there that are willing to put forth the effort. That's what made my day.
